A doctor allegedly killed himself by injecting sedatives in his saline drip at his apartment in Hyderabad. No suicide note has been recovered from the spot, the police said.
HERE IS HOW IT ALL HAPPENED:
- R Shivanandan, a radiologist at a private hospital in Karimnagar, Telangana, had reached Hyderabad on Saturday. He was staying at his house in Janapriya apartment of Attapur in Cyberabad.
- On Sunday morning, Shivanandan gave some money to his driver for breakfast.
- In the afternoon, the driver called Shivanandan but he did not respond. He alerted his friends and told them that the doctor was neither answering his calls nor opening the door of his flat.
- The driver along with his friends then broke open the door and found Shivanandan dead.
- "Shivanandan's body was found in the bedroom with the saline and IV drip injected to him," said K Narayana Reddy, sub-inspector from Rajendranagar police station.
- The police found that several sedatives were injected into the drip. "We have registered a case and investigations are on. No suicide note has been recovered yet," the officer said.
